Don't go looking for fun and adventure, here’s how to make fun and adventure find you…

It's funny how a family camping trip can lead to the discovery of three new hobbies.

Every year my father's side of the family and I go on an annual family camping trip with our friends. One year we decided to go tubing on the Great Egg Harbor River.

The spot at which the campground drops you off to enter the River just happens to be the site of the old Weymouth Iron Furnace and there are still ruins there.

We didn't have any time to explore that day so a few weeks later I decided to return and this time I brought a camera and video camera with me. I spent the entire day exploring the old iron furnace complex and discovering additional ruins that I did not know were there.

Exploring these old ruins sparked my interest, and the research that I did to learn more about them led to the discovery of other historic sites in New Jersey which I have exploded or plan to explore.

Bringing the camera and video camera with me also jumpstarted my interest in photography and videography as well as creative editing, leading to two of the biggest hobbies of my life.

My interest in photography and videography has led me to take up artistic and wildlife photography as well as creative videography. Which has led to even more fun.

My exploration of the ruins at this site, as well as the research I did to learn more about them, has led me to discover and explore more ghost towns and abandoned ruins in New Jersey.

I have learned that you can find adventure and fun around every corner if you just take the time to open your eyes and look for it.

And that is my approach to life.

Of course I also enjoy just sitting at home and watching a good movie or TV show or just being a couch potato.

I do have a goofy and fun side as well. For example on some nights you might find me diving into the couch cushions with a metal detector looking for lost change. Or you might find me in the bathroom applying Miracle Gro to my head in a search for a cure to baldness. Hey, if it works I could end up being the next Fabio! LOL!

Life's too short, so why not seek fun at every opportunity?

Now, I should mention that I myself am not deaf, but I am open to meeting all people regardless of their abilities or disabilities. So if you ARE deaf it is not a problem for me.
